2 Extraordinary Days of Professional Development

We were so honoured to host the amazing Joanne Elphinston, creator of the JEMS approach, for two live teaching events here in Melbourne in February

Joanne’s workshop “Giving Them Wings” was fully subscribed with this fantastic group of very happy practitioners. The discussions & actions were rich & touched on so many crucial aspects of how we interact with our patients/clients to create a safe place for self discovery for all of us.

The JEMS Masterclass was conducted to support practitioners that have completed a JEMS ART or EASE course. The day was flexibly divided into three sections.
1.     From Broken to Brilliant: Joanne walked through some of the intriguing patients from her past clinical year to deepen our insights into the JEMS process. We also worked through JEMS strategies to enhance patient self discovery by the process to working through a case study. Reframing movement avoidance to re-establishing movement elegance
2.     Hypermobility, from Worried to Wonderful: Where Joanne looked more deeply into hypermobility from a JEMS perspective, and explored the challenges we all have, with fantastic insights into this area of particular interest for her.
3.     Open floor: This was a great opportunity to discuss compelling MSK queries and conundrums from within the group.
As always, the day was incredibly responsive, relaxed and exploratory.
