Sue’s Webinar Content

Flexibility can be an asset, but also a burden.

Not all people with hypermobility are prone to injury, but soft-tissue laxity needs to be considered when preventing & treating injuries. Without careful screening of our patients, soft-tissue treatments & joint mobilising may do more harm than good.

This presentation will highlight the screening tests for generalised joint hypermobility, discuss the injury risk of hypermobility, offer ideas on prevention & considerations when we are applying our treatments.

We will discuss potential barriers that prevent patient buy-in to exercise programs & current evidence that supports high intensity training to support joint health.
